Do you have any hacks installed?

This was happening with me too. It was iGetter that was the culprit.

You know, I can't think of any hacks installed... I had StickeyBrain installed, and that broke - no great loss - but that was even advertised by Apple to .Mac members so I thought that was safe. I have DejaVu installed, but haven't even tried that. Hmmm... and Macaroni - for regular maintenance... Are these really considered Hacks?

I would consider all fake input manager plug-ins and APEs hacks.
You have ~/Library/InputMangers/SpeedDownload Enhancer/ . Try taking that out and see if the problem persists.

This happens to me too, happens when you close tabs too. I don't have any hacks installed right now. I used to have Safari Speed and Speed download but I deleted those after 10.3.9

Fixed! As any of you may have guessed from reading the crash log, it turned out to be caused by an old version of Speed Download. I updated that to the latest version and it seems to be humming along nicely. Of course, I did clean out a few other old apps & startup items that I didn't use anymore, but the Speed Download app was definitely the culprit.
