About the Script Menu Items
Export Bookmarks:
This script will export the URLs in the active document into an HTML file of its very own.
Export Netscape Bookmarks:
This script will export all active documents into a Netscape compatible bookmark file.
Please wait for the completed dialog to appear, as it is possible to manipulate the export file before the script has
finished.
Import Bookmarks:
This will take in a file and create a new document with URLs from all A HREF tags within the document.
There is a problem with this script that we have not had a chance to debug yet. Be aware this might hang your machine
on very large text files. Small files work fine, though. This script beeps to let you know it is still working. If it
annoys you, feel free to comment out the beep in the script.
Remove <no comments>:
When the Export scripts run, they place the comments field in as the description of the link. However, having <no
comments> in your entries means that a browser will think you're trying to use an unknown NO tag with a COMMENTS
parameter. This script will go through the active document and remove any instances of the <no comments> tag.
Be aware that your comments probably use HTML illegal characters like <, >, high-bit characters like •, √, and other
things, and that you need to address these things once your export file is created.
URL Netscape -> wU:
This script is VERY useful. It will take the active Netscape browser window and use the TITLE of the document as the
name of a new url, and fill the location field of the entry in with the current url in the browser. This way, if you like
a page you're on, simply switch to wU?!, select the script, and it will make a new entry for it in the active document.
