Better Bookmark HTTP in MSIE © Michael Schürig 1997, 1998 What's new in version 1.0.1? There are no new features. This version is for use with “Dialog Director” v0.7. Don't install it if you're still using DD v0.6. What is it? An “Action” for Apple Data Detectors that acts on HTTP URLs. In contrast to the action that comes with “Internet Address Detectors” this one gives you the opportunity to add your own label and a description to the URL. Also URLs you bookmark are available from the Favorites menu immediately. Requirements - Mac OS 8 - Apple Data Detectors (included with Internet Address Detectors) - The free “Dialog Director” Scripting Addition. You can get it at <http://www.hylight.demon.co.uk/>. - Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.01 or newer. Installation First install the Dialog Director Scripting Addition. Put it into the “Scripting Additions” folder inside your System Folder. Open the folder “Apple Data Detectors” in your System Folder. There you will find a folder “Actions”. If there is a file “Bookmark HTTP in MSIE” move it out of that folder as it’s functionality is going to be replaced. Move “Better Bookmark HTTP in MSIE” into the “Actions” folder and you’re done. If you encounter problems as a first counter measure restart your Mac. In case it persists, check if AppleScript and Apple Data Detectors are installed properly.
