Due to a problem in FileMaker II, some FileMaker II files may have been inadvertently corrupted during normal use. This problem may not be noticed immediately in FileMaker II. FileMaker Pro has been corrected and this problem will not happen again, however, FileMaker II files that may have already been corrupted will not operate correctly in FileMaker Pro and may cause data loss. In order to prevent the corruption in FileMaker II files getting into FileMaker Pro it is strongly recommended that you follow the instructions below, in the correct sequence: 1. Using FileMaker II, save a compressed copy (an option under the “Save A Copy As...” command) of your FileMaker II file. 2. Convert the compressed copy of the FM II file to FileMaker Pro. (Launch FileMaker Pro, then select the compressed file to be converted.) Following these steps will help prevent any problems.
