IOMEGA DRIVER AND WORKSHOP SOFTWARE Version 3.5.3 Release Notes August, 1994 The first two sections of these release notes describe known software and hardware compatibility problems. The third section is a brief revision history for the Iomega Driver. If you are using an earlier version of the Driver, use the revision history to evaluate how you will benefit by upgrading your Iomega software. You can obtain the latest version of the Driver from any of the following: Iomega Bulletin Board (USA) (801) 392-9819 (available 24 hours) 8,N,1; 1200-14.4K baud; ANSI Iomega Bulletin Board (Europe) 49 (0) 761-4504444 (available 24 hours) CompuServe® Go MACCVEN Internet info@iomega.com AppleLink® Iomega.TS America Online Keyword: Iomega CURRENT MACINTOSH SUPPORT: Version 3.5.3 supports Mac Plus computers or newer, including the PowerMac (with PowerPC), Quadra, Performa, Centris, PowerBook, and PowerBook Duo series computers. Release Notes Page 1 Sun, Feb 23, 2025 –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Section 1 KNOWN SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITIES SCSIProbe All versions will work to mount Bernoulli disks. If you receive a message from SCSIProbe saying that it is unable to close the Driver, respond OK. You will not lose data by leaving the Iomega Driver loaded. If you are receiving the close driver message each time you remove a Bernoulli disk, you can avoid the message by removing the check from the option box for Close Driver After Ejecting (available under SCSIProbe's Options). SCSIProbe Control Panel: If a Bernoulli disk is inserted when opening the SCSIProbe Control Panel, you will see "•_________________" instead of a description for the disk. You may want to remove all Bernoulli disks before opening the SCSIProbe Control Panel. (This is a SCSIProbe problem which will be fixed in their next release.) Stacker for Mac Version 3.5.3 of the Iomega Driver works with Stacker for Macintosh on Bernoulli 90MB and 150MB drives. Stacker is not compatible with other Iomega products. This is due to Stacker's failure to properly support Bernoulli drives. If you are using Stacker, upgrade your Iomega Software to 3.5.3 and make sure you update all your Bernoulli disks. CAUTION: The stacked volume on a Bernoulli disk will only work correctly with versions 3.5.2 or higher of the Iomega Driver. If you try to use a stacked Bernoulli disk on a system which is running an earlier version of the Iomega Driver, you will see a message to eject or initialize the disk. Eject the disk immediately and install 3.5.3 software before attempting to use the disk. Release Notes Page 2 Sun, Feb 23, 2025 Apple File Exchange & PC Exchange Apple File Exchange and PC Exchan…
