What?
LottoChecker is written for those people who play lotto more than just occasionaly and who use
the same set of numbers more than once. (If you always enter different numbers, you'll spend
more time entering these numbers than to check your result manually). It supports up to 12
games (thats the maximum you can enter on one form in Belgium) that can be used for up to 10
consequent drawings.
Enter your games on the left hand side, the results on the right hand side, push the calculate
button and - bingo - LottoChecker tells you how may numbers you had correct per game.
What Mac?
LottoChecker PPC is PowerPC native. An 68K version is also available on-line (it is called
LottoChecker 68K). The 68K version however was never tested on a real 68K machine. It
worked on my 7500 under emulation, so I supose…
LottoChecker is set to use 1024K of RAM memory. As long as you do not open to many
windows, it runs fine with just about half of this memory allocation.
Whats Next?
As the program does what I want it to do, I am not planning for any modifications in the near
future. Perhaps if Symantec add's some grayscale panes to the TCL, I might consider to make
it look nicer - I admit it has a boring iterface. (I might consider a port to PowerPlant).
I am thinking of writing a small program in about half a year from now that takes all the
LottoChecker files as input and performs some basic statistics on them such as : Are there any
numbers which come out significantly more often than others etc….
If you have any suggestion…
Registration
LottoChecker is shareware at $0, which means you should register if you use it. Just send me
an E-Mail. I am just curious about which countries my little program travels to.
If somebody wants to pay for LottoChecker, I will happily provide him/her with the details on how
to do so.
Disclaimer
By no means, the author of this program (that's me) is responsible for anything this program
might cause to you or your Mac.
Technical
This program was written using Symantec C++ release 8.5. The windows were generated using
the Visual Architect - I like this little tool! -, the Icons with ResEdit. All these tools are copyright
to their respective holders. (Or how do you say this)
