D NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC THE COMPLETE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC QUICK START GUIDE The Complete National Geographic installation DVD will guide you through installing these two software programs on your Windows or Mac computer: » Adobe® AIR™ - This software is required to run The Complete National Geographic. If your computer doesn't already have Adobe AIR installed, you'll be asked to install it from The Complete National Geographic DVD to your computer. » The Complete National Geographic - This software enables you to explore the National Geographic magazines on DVD. Installing on Windows or Mac Follow these instructions to install Adobe AIR and The Complete National Geographic on your Windows or Mac computer. While the installation of the software can appear complex, reasonable default actions are assumed, so clicking the "Next" button without changing any values is always the easiest way to proceed. 1. Launch the installer Insert "The Complete National Geographic - Disc 1" into your computer's DVD drive, and then do the following, depending on the type of computer you're using Windows users: » Depending on your security settings, you may be asked what to do with the installation file on DVD. Select the option to open the file. The Setup Wizard opens on the desktop automatically Mac users: » If you're not logged in with an administrator account, you will be unable to complete the installation process. Please log into an administrator account before continuing. » On the desktop, double-click the DVD icon named "CNGDisc1 ." Then, double-click the "CNG OSX lnstaller.dmg" file. A second window will open. Click on the "CNG-1.xx-osx.installer" file to launch the Setup Wizard. 2. Select the installation location In the Setup Wizard screen that says "Welcome to The Complete National Geographic Setup Wizard,' click "Next," and then continue to follow the installation instructions on the Setup Wizard screens. Windows Vista users: » Select the option to install The Complete National Geographic. Windows XP users: » You are not given this option. 3. Install Adobe AIR (automatically skipped if not required) r your oomputer already ras the Adobe AIR runtime software installed, this step l'<ill be skipped and you can skip to section 4.
