"La Confrerie" is a French-language scenario for Comenius' Sword Dream 3D, a fantasy adventure gaming system that placed traditional role-playing exploration inside a first-person 3D environment. Submitted by akko@enter.it, the scenario extends the modular Sword Dream platform with a new downloadable adventure for francophone players.
About Sword Dream 3D
According to the author's notes, Sword Dream 3D replaced the boring 2D maps of older role-playing games with three-dimensional surroundings comparable to Marathon, Doom or Descent. Despite the perspective, it is a think-first, act-later adventure system rather than a shoot-em-up, and is endless and modular by design.
The scenario
La Confrerie is the French edition of one of the official Sword Dream 3D adventures. English and Italian editions of the same scenario, and other downloadable adventures, were available from the Comenius site at comenius.com/dream/scenarios.html.
Requirements
The scenario requires the Sword Dream 3D application, which was offered in English, French and Italian editions from comenius.com/dream/. The package may be freely redistributed on the Internet, on CD-ROM compilations and via BBSs.
Format
Distributed as a BinHex (.hqx) archive that must be decoded with BinHex 4.0 or a compatible Classic Mac OS utility before being loaded by Sword Dream 3D.
