Sky Dive is a 1999 skydiving simulation by Groove Alliance for the classic Mac. Players leap from altitude and choose between freefall stunt runs, an aerial slalom course threading gates on the way down, and precision landings aiming for a bullseye target on the drop zone below.
Gameplay modes
The game ships with several modes: midair stunts, slalom navigation through aerial gates, and target landings, giving each jump a different focus and scoring goal.
Presentation
Drops take place over varied 3D landscapes including a Normandy-style coastal map, with an altimeter readout counting down from thousands of feet as the canopy deploys.
Era
Released near the end of the OS 9 era by Groove Alliance, Sky Dive is one of several late-1990s casual sports titles preserved through Macintosh Garden.
