RightWord is a five-letter word game from Tonbrand Software that doubles as a learning aid for children. Players are given the opening letter of a hidden English five-letter word and must guess the rest, scoring with the help of a colored bingo board and a mix of luck-based ball draws.
How it plays
RightWord shows the first letter of a five-letter English word and asks the player to find the rest. Solo and head-to-head modes let two players compete on the same Mac or over a local network.
Bingo board twist
Correct answers fill in a colored bingo grid where forming RIGHT as a row, column, or diagonal scores extra. 'Drawing balls' and disruptive 'red balls' inject luck and tactics into the otherwise straightforward word play.
For learners
The publisher pitches RightWord as both an entertaining word game and a vocabulary aid for children, drilling spelling and letter recognition through repeated short rounds.
Builds and compatibility
Available as both 68K and PowerPC builds. Version 1.1.1 (PPC) is noted as compatible with the Classic environment under Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar.
