Le Satellitaire Hc

Le Satellitaire is a pegged solitaire puzzle game built as a HyperCard stack by Claude Vanolst of Luxembourg. The classic peg-jumping board is presented in a clean black-and-white HyperCard interface, distributed as a small demo file freely redistributable on CD-ROM compilations or otherwise.

Gameplay

Like traditional peg solitaire, the goal is to clear the board by jumping pegs over their neighbors and removing the jumped peg, ideally finishing with a single peg in the center. Mouse-driven moves keep play accessible to anyone comfortable with HyperCard.

HyperCard Implementation

The stack runs in HyperCard or HyperCard Player on Classic Mac OS, taking advantage of HyperCard's card-and-button model to render the pegged board and handle move logic without any external code resources.

Author and Distribution

Released by Claude Vanolst (claudevo@hotmail.com) from Luxembourg as a redistributable demo. The author explicitly grants permission for inclusion on CD-ROM archive collections, which is how it landed in the Info-Mac game/brd directory.

Language

The title and packaging are French ("Le Satellitaire"), reflecting the author's European origin, though the puzzle itself needs no translation to play.
