Cube Strategy is a 1996 turn-based board game for the Classic Mac by Steven Goldberg. Players alternate claiming faces of cubes laid out on a configurable board, and whoever finishes the sixth side of a cube wins it - and earns another turn. The aim is simple: complete more cubes than your opponent.
Gameplay
Each turn you place a single face. Boards scale from a handful of cubes up to hundreds, and completing a cube grants a bonus move, opening room for chain plays and tactical setups.
Options
Match against a human or the built-in AI, with adjustable board zoom, player colors, claiming markers, and per-move time limits to suit casual or speed play.
Author and release
Created by Steven Goldberg and released in 1996, distributed as Cube_Strategy_v2.3.sit (about 144 KB).
System requirements
Runs on 68k Macintoshes under System 6.x through 7.6, and plays cleanly under Basilisk II and Mini vMac II for modern emulation.
