Lotto Chances 1.2.1 is a freeware HyperCard stack by Ton Brand of Ton's Software (Netherlands) that calculates lottery odds for any draw configuration in under a second. Two preset buttons can be customized by the user to match the rules of their favorite local lottery, making the tool useful well outside any single national game.
What It Computes
The stack returns the full set of probabilities for matching various counts of numbers in a given lotto draw, displayed almost instantly so users can compare different configurations without waiting on slow calculation routines.
Customizable Presets
Two preset buttons let the user store their own lotto rule sets (number pool size and picks per ticket), so recurring calculations for a chosen lottery can be triggered with a single click.
Requirements
Runs on any Mac under System 7.0 or later, plus the free HyperCard Player. Being a HyperCard stack, it is small, fast, and trivially openable on period hardware.
