GROTICinstall is the installer package for GROTIC, a Classic Mac arcade-puzzle game by Impression89 (Rene Bauer) in the spirit of Puzzle Bobble. The player aims a stream of coloured balls with the mouse to clear a field; matching three or more of the same colour makes them disappear, with time pressure and shifting level mechanics.
How it plays
A field of balls has to be cleaned up by firing various balls at it. Players aim with the mouse, and groups of three or more matching balls vanish on contact. The difficulty rises level by level as the rule mix changes, and play is timed.
Versions
The Info-Mac archive carries GROTIC 3.2 in both 68K and PPC builds. The 3.2 release is noted as adding better graphics, bug fixes, clearer scores, and easier registration over earlier versions. An accompanying Read Me documents 2.0 as the prior baseline shareware release.
System needs
The bundled Read Me states GROTIC runs on any Mac with 640x480 resolution, 256 colours, and at least 1 MB of free RAM. Macintosh Garden's GROTIC listing additionally cites System 7.0 through Mac OS 8.1 across both 68K and PPC.

GROTIC was written by Impression89 (Rene Bauer, rebauer@studi.unizh.ch) at the University of Zurich and distributed as shareware via Info-Mac and Macintosh Garden.
