ColorBoard 8/248, referred to as 8/248 throughout the rest of this document, is a medium resolution, high speed, graphics display system for the Macintosh II, llX, and llCX. The 8/248 occupies 1 Nubus slot. It is capable of five pixel depths and supports interlaced and non-interlaced monitors. A block diagram of the 8/248 is shown in figure 1-1. The 8/24S supports all pixel depths the user could ever need, from 1-Bit for speedy drawing all the way up to 24-Bit for true color reproduction.
