Stupid things to do that would be amusing for people to watch
OK, I need to raise �500 in a hurry, for a trip to Ukraine (doing missionary-type work with a local church, helping run a holiday camp type thing for kids - but we have to provide our own funding).
Various other group members are doing sponsored stuff - sponsored go-round-blindfolded-for-a-day, sponsored chest hair wax, etc...
I had a vague idea of getting people to sponsor me doing stupid stuff. All these videos that go round on the net of people making prats of themselves inspired me. I had the idea of having a web site where people can paypal me a small amount of cash, and vote on how they wanted me to make an ass out of myself this time. Each time I got to a certain amount, say �50, I'd post a new photo or video.
I reckon with this idea I'll get a fair bit from people who know me - because I'm not the type to do random stupid stuff much normally!
Anyway, so much for the plan. Now I need ideas.
I was thinking sort of Trigger Happy TV type randomness - i.e. nothing causing me too much pain or lasting damage! But what kind of stuff would make you laugh if you watched a random stranger doing it on a video over the internet?

Piggyback off of one of these church events with a side bet of sorts: if the group can raise the money on top of their normal sales in an hour, you'll shave your head.
I'm not kidding. My wife's old Latin teacher did this once, at one of their Latin Club functions; if the students could raise $500 in one hour for the club -note that this was completely spur-of-the-moment; there was no advance warning at all- he'd shave his head. They got over $1000 within the time limit. He did it the next year (this time the bet was that he'd have to dye his beard blue), and once again they got the money.
Granted, this isn't very amusing to watch while the money is being raised, but that's not the point. The point is after the money has been raised. I'm assuming the people at this church know you; if they don't then this won't work.

Actually, I probably could get that amount for shaving my head... I have long hair which I'm rather proud of! People might pay good money to see it shaved off

I'm in uni - now's the time to do all the crazy stuff that I'd regret not doing when I'm older
