Probably because taking a picture of a CRT powered is almost impossible to do. If you use a flash you get loads of glare, if you don't then you most likely don't have enough light and the picture comes out really blurred.
Or maybe they are being sneaky, and the iMacs are dead, and the pictures are to make people think otherwise. I'm sure someone out there that saw that auction was pretty convinced.

Wish I would have seen this sooner. Could have had that all wrapped up in about and hour and a half.
My mom would kill me if I got that seeing how I got 3 iMac G3's for free a few months ago.
