Can I fix an original Game Boy for the next RetroChallenge?

Technically, I don't see why not, but then I'm not involved with the RetroChallenge. But personally I think it counts. Anyone?

Yes, I would say so. The Retrochallenge is pretty informal and intended to be fun, the only real guideline is that projects should be carried out using something that is over 10 years old, which your Gameboy is by far!

Oh man, I forgot just how big those original GB's were..with the

washed out LED screen..sure changed the way games were

played..Myself, dug the GB pocket, or GB Colour..

A hack I'm thinking of, is to shoe horn the guts from a GB

No, it was the Game Boy Advance SP.

TECHNICALLY, the first lit Game Boy was the Game Boy Light; but it was Japan-only. (It came out at about the same time as the Game Boy Pocket in the U.S.)

Hmm, an interesting tidbit I found while opening a busted Game Boy (original) is that it has a 4mhz processor (or something like that).

:EDIT: It has a 4.194304mhz processor. I also see two 64kb SRAM chips on board (as much as a Mac 128k)! Need any pictures?
