The Woodlands Flea Market
In The Woodlands, TX, residents are not allowed to hold garage sales. Instead, twice a year, the community as a whole holds a huge flea market in a multi level parking garage. Hundreds of families, as well as some commercial sellers set up stalls. It's the culmination of 6 months of garage sales on one day and in one location.
Unfortunately there were no Macs or Apples at all, but I got a couple of good deals:
- Samsung SyncMaster 151D LCD, $20, perfect condition
- Memorex brand DVD/CD Burner, USB, $5, good condition
My friend got an HP PocketPC 2003 for $10, perfect condition.
I'll probably go to the next one in 6 months and see if there's anything good. It might also be a good place to sell some iMacs.

Are they socialists or something? In The Woodlands, TX, residents are not allowed to hold garage sales.
All the land there was once owned by one guy and he sold all of the land with all of these crazy deed restrictions and stuff, such as you can only cut down so many trees and only in a certain way (I like trees though), and the HOA is really nazi. It's a beautiful place to live, but I would never move there due to all the restrictions. Are they socialists or something? In The Woodlands, TX, residents are not allowed to hold garage sales.![]()
