Lowest price on airport cards?

Well guys it seems as though I missed the $50 deal on amazon.com for the airport cards

. I really don't wanna pay $100 for one. Anybody know where to get them cheaper? And is there a big difference between the various revisions. I know the older ones used lower encryption but does that affect the range or reliablity of them?

range depends on machine and its antenna, not on the card.

check ebay. there are probably lots of older ones floating around for cheap.

i'd say pay the whole $99 for it or get it refurb from a reliable vendor like smalldog.

whatever you do, stay away from wegener media (they have refurbs for $69.99) or an ebay seller named "maccloset" (same wegener)

i ordered from wegener media's site w/ paypal, paying $11/shipping, two weeks ago and still haven't gotten my card.

I did order from Wegener Media.
My card came within a few days. It was packaged securely, and sent via AirBorne. I popped it into my iceBook and started surfing from my deck seconds later.

Before I purchased, I sent Wegener an email inquiry. They got back to me within the hour.
