About
Comatose will help you prolong the life of your computer and save on electricity while doing so!! It allows you to put your computer to sleep rather than shut down the entire system. It works with all Macintoshes Plus and later running system 7 or later and only 165K of memory. Comatose spins down all hard drives on all SCSI buses and dim the screen to black. The screen blacking allows some monitors to also power down, adding to electricity savings. Your computer will run quieter when comatosed and takes a fraction of time to start up when compared to switching off or shut down. Comatose also has screen saver capability. You can specify how many minutes before the screen dims and how many idle minutes before drives spin down. Your computer will be able to wake up with an incoming phone call, receive a fax and go back to sleep. Perfect for using that old Mac sitting in the closet as a stand alone fax!. Key features: - Auto Spin down/Screen Off - Screen Saver & Energy Star Support - Password protection - Digital Clock sreen saver (bouncing!) - Full async. sound playback of sound files of any size!! - Sound recording capability (using your built-in Mac microphone) Minimum system configuration of: * Hardware: Any Macintosh or Power Macintosh (Plus and later). * System: 7 and higher. * 165K of free memory. This update adds support for DOS/Compatibility card. Focus comatose is $25 shareware. If you decide to continue using it after the three day trial period, please pay the registration fee. This software is shareware and can be distributed as such on with shareware collections and CD's provided it is not changed in any way.
