About
DeskTray is a floating tray that displays all the items on the desktop. DeskTray can be minimised to a small bar that floats over all windows just below the current application name. Clicking on that bar will expand the tray. Clicking back to the small bar or double-clicking in a unused part of the tray will reduce it. If you've even been in the situation where you had lots of opened windows in the Finder, covering the desktop itself, and you wanted to drag an item onto your hard-drive icon, then DeskTray can help you. Clicking on an item in the palette will open the corresponding window in the Finder. DeskTray fully supports drag&drop. You can drag&drop items onto DeskTray like if you were dragging them on Finder items : dragging an item will move it to the desired folder. Holding down the option key while dragging will copy the item, and holding down option and command keys will create a shortcut. You can also drag&drop items from the palette. You can resize the tray when it's opened. Move the mouse on the left edge of the tray. The cursor will change in a double-arrow. Click and drag to resize.
