my only PowerMac is a G4 B&W that has been upgraded severely. Which I am thinking of selling. I really don't use it, and really have no need for it. it's 400Mhz G4 w/ 1MB L2 cache, a 160GB IDE HDD w/ SATA adapter. A 1.5Gb PCI SATA Card (with 2 plugs), a DVD-ROM, a Zip drive (internal), a FireWire/USB2.0 card, and a Radeon 7000 PCI 32MB
Not bad.. Anyone know the relative worth of this?
EDIT: oh and 512MB (2x256 Matching DIMMS) Memory

9600/200 with a 640MB RAM and a G3/266/512K on a XLR8 ZIF carrier
8550/120 WGS with a NewerTech G3/233
PowerComputing PowerTower/166 with a G3/300 Sonnet Crescendo card
The 8550 is running OS X Server 1.2.1
The PowerTower is running 9.1 (k-spit)
The 9600 would be running OS X 10.3 if I could get it to boot. It's got a pout on with me.

As far as they go, I've got...
G3 B+W Rev.1 with Sonnet G4 patch and stock Yikes G4/350 CPU
G3 B+W Rev.2 450, 1Gb RAM 2x40Gb HDD, DVD-RW... blah blah. Originally started life as a stock Rev.1 300 when I first bought it, then I bought the Rev.2 board, graphics card and CPU later on after I learned of the corruption issues.
G4 Yikes with Encore G4/500 ZIF upgrade, 1Gb RAM, 2x40Gb HDD's, DVD-RW, added FW card... and a blown speaker output cos *some* idiot shorted the wires when messing with a speaker upgrade.
I also had another G3 which was built from the leftover Rev.1 parts of my first one and the case and other parts of a dead G3 I picked up for $20 at a computer market. Put it together, cleaned it up, and sold it for $250... lol and to think nowadays theyre only worth $20 in working order.

Dead G3, my other vintage Mac is an LC II, soon to be an LC III with a Mobo swap.
Anyone have a Beige G3 Zif and heatsink w/ clip they want to trade and/or sell for? I have an ISA Video capture suite I just picked up. Need to test it when I get back from California in a week.

IIRC there are two different heatsinks used in the B+W... mine was originally a 300mhz Rev.1 and it had heatsink thaat wasnt as tall as the one that came with the replacement Rev.2 board and 450mhz CPU or the Rev. 2 400mhz I used to have as well. The B&W heat sink is a bit higher. Might be a problem in a beige desktop but if so it'd be easy enough to snip a bit off the fins
