PPC 6500, no mouse or keyboard
Just got this PPC 6500 which I hooked up to a monitor I had to see if it works and it did! I have no ADB mouse or keyboard to use with it, is there a way to re-wire a ps2 mouse to use it on a mac ?

Not easily, but you can find ADB keyboards and mice either here (ask in the Trading Post, people have oodles of them), or really cheaply on eBay.
Okay, got the mouse and keyboard. Another question, how do I open the case ? I'dd like to add another hard drive but can't figure out how to open it up.

There is only 1 IDE HD bay, there is also a bay for a SCSI device in the top but the bus is only 5MB/sec.

The stock IDE hard drive is very slow. Even many old SCSI drives beat it. Any other IDE drive will probably beat it.
tht computer only supports one drive per ide chain
Hee Hee. You are about to enter... the Twilight Zone. The 6500 is the worst case Apple ever made. Most people can't get them open without destroying the plastic tabs that hold it together.Okay, got the mouse and keyboard. Another question, how do I open the case ? Once I carefully got mine open I did some trimming to the lumps on the front bits to facilitate easier opening in the future.
I left the side panels and top though, they come off ok with the right amount of pressure at the right locations.

amen to that..beats the olde quadra 800/840/power mac 8100/8500
case hands down....and that was a bear, as well..
be careful...with the tabs...with age, the plastic gets brittle, and can
snap...and then you'll be going...@#$%!!!!!!
