Here's my issue...
I actually have four of these drives. One is in use on my Plus. I've got CD-ROM Toolkit powering it.

I have three more that I'm going to be putting on Classics. Trouble is, I have only one copy of Toolkit and I'm using it on the Plus.

Is there a driver for System 6 that is free somewhere for these Macs or should I put System 7.0.1 on them and get a newer driver? (I also have three System 7.1 licenses that I don't have on any other machines so I could use this too if it's a base requirement). They will be running ClarisWorks 3.0 and Print Shop, nothing too demanding--maybe a game of 3 in Three now and then.
FWB Software no longer seems to exist, and no company seems to have purchased or otherwise taken over their old products. So, I would say that CD-ROM Toolkit and other FWB products are abandonware in the truest sense, and that it would probably be fine to just go ahead and use it on all your Macs if you want.
