Full story is available in Apple's artnum=16145. 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 is recommended for all '040-based Macs but Q660AV and 840AV.

Rats! I spent an hour reading that last night but missed the 7.1. I wanted 8.1 so I could use HFS+ on the 9 gig shared drive as a single volume. So I will have to break it down to HFS 2 gig partitions.

What size boot drive will be needed? Seems to me a 160mb ought to do it.
