So I've been playing Doom III for a few days and it runs pretty well in lower resolutions. It seems pretty average to me as far as shooters go, but I really don't have much choice on this platform, I suppose. It's good enough for me though, and it's sufficiently creepy. 
Deus Ex seems to do a lot better than TR2 did in Classic Mode, with almost no slowdown at all. I forgot how cool this game was, although I remember the graphics being better on the PS2 version.
Does anyone here play any 3D games via VPC on PPC Macs?
I'm trying to figure out if I can run Guild Wars via VPC, since the system requirements are about half of what I'm currently running.
800mhz PIII, 256mb ram, 32mb vram.
What do you think?
I could just go ahead and install it all and try myself, but if it's totally futile then I don't see any point in wasting my time with it. I've never really used VPC even though I have a copy, and I don't really know how the 3D performance is..
