It's a matter of interpretation, or of terminology. Disk Tools (the floppy) contributes nothing to the installation process. However, as AF says, if you opt for a full (or easy) installation, at some point you will be asked to insert the diskette for the Installer to grab files from it. The installation process just might fall over if you don't deliver. And then it might just snivel that you haven't delivered up the right burnt offering and continue to the end. It's not hard to find out which, and you can always PM someone for a copy of the Disk Tools floppy image if you need it.

Then again, you could rummage around here and find all kinds of useful stuff.
