If the 80-pin SCA drives are anything like the 68-pin drive I have in my 8600, you have to terminate the upper 8-bits of the wide SCSI bus, this is usually labelled Upper Byte Termination on adapters that have it. Plus you will need a 50pin pigtail terminator on the internal bus, using the CD-ROM drive as a bus terminator will not work. While it shouldn't be needed, jumper FORCE SE and make sure it is assigned a SCSI ID between 0 and 6.
