Well, the IIci is looking like a winner for the SE, barring a proper eyeballing, for the following reasons:

I have these greyscale SVGA 9" CRTs I could use, but that's going to cut down my internal space a heck of a lot, with or without the drop floor. So the next step is to try and find an affordable LCD. Greyscale would be fine - mono even.
