Ahhh, that could be the problem! I did use Simpletext to edit the config. I will redownload MacHTTP and try again.

...and before you do anything, make a copy of the config file... and make frequent back-ups when tinkering. MacHTTP is quite finnicky about it and it can be a female dog to track down whatever typo is causing problems.
