I actually gave up and installed 7.6 to a virtual drive via Sheepshaver (literally finished as I was seeing this - I had to tab to the forum with keyboard because sheepshaver restricts mouse movement).  I'm going to use Transmac to restore it to an SD card using a USB cardreader on my desktop.  I've never tried that before; I'm curious.

But I need Drive Setup patched more generally.  Thanks again.
