As an added note, if it's the DVI model of the 867MHz TiBook, even a retail 9.2.2 disc (if those existed) will not work (or won't work well) so you do need to find the 867/1000MHz DVI TiBook install CD, which makes you install Mac OS X and *then* Mac OS 9.

From there, if you are absolutely adamant about getting a machine with ONLY Mac OS 9 installed, your best bet will be to preserve the OS 9 installation (onto an APM/HFS+ flash drive, for example) and then wipe the hard disk again and then put the OS 9 installation back onto the hard disk.

The one potential exception to this is the netboot for mac os 9 image: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120243

Using another machine, what I would do is copy the stuff from that image to a USB stick, partitioned as Apple Partiiton Map and formatted as HFS+, and then boot the mac to it, and then disable/remove all of the netboot stuff, and then copy everything to the TiBook's hard disk.
