Hi,

I've got a Asanté EN/SC-10T from an old network stuff lot, but have problem making it work with a MacClassic.

That is, I do as the Asanté setup guide says :

- Plug the EN/SC to the Mac through SCSI DB25

- Set the EN/SC to a SCSI any id number different from the Mac drive.

- Plug ethernet to the EN/SC

- Power the EN/SC

- Power the Mac with extensions off, to install the EN/SC driver.

But, I've found that , no mater what I do, extension on or off, trying all the SCSI nmrs from 1 to 7, if I boot with the EN/SC powered on , the Mac goes to the question mark !

If I power off the EN/SC , the mac sees his drive again and boots ok.

If I boot the Mac, with EN/SC powered off (but plugged to the Mac), it boots Ok. But if I power on the EN/SC while the Mac is on, it freezes the Mac ...

So I can't install the driver, cause the installer ask for the EN/SC to but plugged and powered on to install.

Any ideas ? Do you think that EN/SC is dead ?
