Often times internal drives have their own termination. This usually consists of 2 or 3 removable resistor networks or a jumper or switch. Termination is fussy so you may have to play with it.

Also, the scsi ribbon of the box may be damaged. You may also want to verify the supply voltages of the box's power supply with the drive running.
