Yes, there are only a handful of brochures/licensing materials in a small cardboard holder not much larger than the DVD, and less than 1cm thick. I'm assuming you bought it secondhand, not new on Amazon?

No, it was listed as a "new" retail item by an Amazon seller. Hence my semi-consternation. However, it also seemed possible that Apple might ship the product as just the disk, and frankly, unless I'm missing something important it's just not worth the time and effort to get upset/do anything about it.
