For the past few weeks I've been fiddling around with my IIfx, but I'm starting to wonder if I could put it to better use. I was sort of involved in the Apple II BBS scene (if downloading pirated games can be described as participating) and did Co-SysOP a few PC based BBS in the late 90's, so I got to wondering if a BBS could be run on a classic Mac? My IIfx might be a bit under powered for such a task, but if that's the case I also have a G3 and G4 Cube that could be used. I'd like to stick with the IIfx just for the fun factor though. :)

Were there cool Door type games for Mac BBS's? If I went through the trouble of setting up a Mac based BBS would it actually get any visitors (I know BBS's are a niche thing these days so I wouldn't be expecting hundreds of people or anything like that). Has anyone tried to do this sort of thing recently? If so, how did it go?
