Well, I do notice that if I go through AppleShare in the chooser, everything seems to work okay. Still slow, but I suspect that's normal when considering that 68k Macs had slow-ass ethernet.

The frequent pauses when nothing is going on are gone at least.

I guess the solution is to NOT mount the PB drive through the network browser, but to mount it through AppleShare in the chooser.

Be interesting to know if other people have had this problem.
