I actually haven't looked all that closely at alk's info yet, you are most likely correct.

Dunno about the NIC section yet, I've been in the new place for a little over a year now and I'm not even fully unpacked yet.

Setting up one of my hubs or a server isn't really a high priority for me yet! :lol:

I'll definitely give them a whirl though, maybe I'll just hook the two together with a crossover cable! }

I'll check the "Bad Card" for cold solder joints, it's been "sealed in box" since the day it passed inspection.
