I figure that any parts with approximately the same blend of plastics will tend to yellow evenly when exposed over the long term to sunlight or fluorescent lighting. I doubt the pattern would even out, it would probably just darken with more aging. I guess I could use a carbon arc lamp to really speed up the process of yellowing! [}] ]'>

What's most interesting to me is the way the thinner, harder more brittle over time composition of the bezels and doors of these old beasts differs so greatly from the thicker parts made of what seems to be a softer composition plastic formulation resists the yellowing an brittleness producing processes so much better than the thinner parts. Maybe the carbon arc lamp isn't such a great idea! [] ]'>

This is only a casual observation, maybe the thicker parts just don't break, that, or the plasticizers leech out of the thicker parts more slowly over time. However there is certainly something going on between the aging processes of the bezels and doors vs. the exoskeleton/monocoque chassis of the Quadra 950.
