Since I'm reflowing the solder on the underside of the IIsi' PDS connector to mate with the female side of the Machine Pins, is there any point in tinning the existing solder on the PDS pins?

I'd hate to have to do this because the machine pin strips all but snap into place when pressed onto the soldertails of the PDS.
