Well if you can fit the DVD Deck assembly in place of the old CD mechanism you could use the old carriage system. I wish I had one of these old CD/SC setups becuase i would end up hacking a modern DVD-RW or Blu-Ray drive to use the old CD/SC deck and carriage assembly.
