I just purchased a Visioneer PaperPort Vx off of ebay for super cheap. It comes with the AC adapter and a serial cable. (RS232)
I've got all the drivers and PaperPort installed and running under OS 8.6, on my Performa 6116CD. Everything I can see in the control panel deals with SCSI though.
Is this scanner able to be hooked up to the mac through a Serial Connection? (modem / printer port) or does it need the SCSI adapter box? I have seen reports of both.
Am I able to use a standard apple serial cable to hook it up? If so, where would I find the drivers for that?
I don't physically have the scanner yet, I just want to get all my ducks in a row so i can start using it right away.
