Back when I only had about five disks to install 7.5.3, I tried that stunt.
If you copied the parts 1-19 onto 19 actual different disks, then you'll probably have to try again and reinstall.
If however you cheated like I did, where once the Installer was done with Disk 2, so you took Disk 2 and put the contents of Disk 3 on it, I hope you didn't do that with whatever Install Disk 1 was. If you did, you're gonna hafta install all over again. Install Disk 1 or whatever the first disk was to start the Installer must be kept alone -- just like Windows in the older days when it'd pull up the blue screen demanding that you insert disk with the serial number of _____-_____ be inserted.
EDIT: If you can install over the network via AFP, you can bypass the whole floppy shebang.
EDIT2: You can share the CD drive of another Mac over AFP. If your iMac G3 works fine, use that and share it over the network with Ethernet. If you don't have an AAUI to Ethernet transceiver, you might want to get one. LocalTalk is unbelievably slow compared to Ethernet.
