@ lm77: give a good look at mcd's contrasting Blueberry/Silver G3, especially the peripherals. I just took a really good look at my QS'02 and decided that if I were to paint the insides, I'd leave the front silver to match the peripherals and paint the just the clear sections, that way it's more like an automotive two-tone feature. It would be epecially cool if you did the front panel of a Studio Display to achieve a matched set.
