That's not quite exactly what it's intended to do. It should work fine in a vertical connector, but I don't know about a horizontal one.

I've got one of these, it'll make it easy for the CD-ROM in the Radius 81/110 to live in harmony with adapted SCA Drives, all using the narrower 68 pin internal cables.
