Sounds like the IWM is kind of a nifty chip
the 128k / 512k would still need to be booted from floppy /w init as you said… but would be worth it to have 2 gigs of SD HD
any mac w/o scsi would greatly benefit from this…bus powered!! no need for stupid power bricks.
maybe sell it as a separate product… with a angled external floppy connector… no need for screen, heddars, buttons
just plug in… pop in floppy and boom … insta FDD SDD lol sell it for same price. i'm thinking there is a market for it.
or pop out 128k/512k roms and pop in plus roms… and install internally.
heck i bet most peoples 400k fdd in there is gum'd up anyways.
