Macintosh® Adobe Type Reunion· Deluxe 2.0 Quick Installation Card The Adobe Type Reunion® Deluxe utility lets you control your application's font menu and organize fonts in an application based on font families instead of simply by font name. Use Adobe Type Reunion to: • Group fonts into custom categories. • Assign custom names to fonts (such as "Corporate" for Adobe Garamond®). • Display fonts in their own typefaces. • List your most recently used fonts at the top of your font menu. • Use Type Reunion with Adobe Type Manager® Deluxe 4.0 to activate or deactivate font sets for better system performance. • Specify which applications do not use Type Reunion. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Adobe Type Reunion 2.0 runs on any Macintosh®, Power Macintosh®, or compatible computer, and requires: • Apple® system software 7.0.1 and higher. (System 7.1 or higher is recommended.) • At least 8 megabytes (MB) of random-access memory • A hard disk drive and high-density floppy drive INSTALLING ADOBE TYPE REUNION To install Adobe Type Reunion 2.0: 1 Hold down Shift as you restart your Macintosh computer. 2 Insert the Adobe Type Reunion 2.0 disk into your floppy disk drive. 3 Double-dick the Install icon and follow the on-screen instructions. 4 Restart your Macintosh when the installation has finished. USING THE FONT MENU WITH ADOBE TYPE REUNION Using Adobe Type Reunion with an application enables your font menu to list alphabetically all fonts used in a document, show additional font styles and weights in submenus, and display font groups that you have created. r~~- Adobe To display a font group in the Font menu: 1 In the Groups preference panel, select the Show Groups in Font Menus option. (See page 3 for more information.) 2 Using the mouse, select a group from the application's font menu, or choose Font> Group Name> Show Group Name (where Group Name is the name of the font group). A bullet precedes the name of the group. USING THE ADOBE TYPE REUNION CONTROL PANEL Adobe Type Reunion is a control panel installed in the System Folder that contains four preference panels. To open the Adobe Type Reunion control panel, do one of the following: • Open the Control Panels folder in the System Folder, and double-click the Adobe Type Reunion icon. • Choose Apple> Control Panels> Adobe Type Reunion. • Choose Open Type Reunion from any font menu. To display a Type Reunion preference panel: Click the corresponding tab at the top of the Type Reunion control panel.
