Important If you are using a PC Card modem, you need to choose the correct port setting from the Apple Serial Modem control panel before you can begin to use it. Installing Your Hardware 3 Other items you may need To use your hardware and software you may also need m An analog telephone line Your modem is designed for use with a traditional analog telephone system. Most homes use an analog system. Many offices and hotels, however, use a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) with digital extensions.
