• Instructions for Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5
• Addition of AppleFacts booklet
• Addition of Macintosh Basics Tutorial
VERSION REQUIREMENTS
Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5 requires Macintosh System software
version 6.0.7 or greater with HyperCard software version 2.0 or
greater. However, it also supports Macintosh System software
version 7.0 or greater with HyperCard software version 2.1 or
greater.
LOW MEMORY CONSIDERATIONS
Because Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5 uses HyperCard 2.0 or greater, we
recommend using a system with 4 MB or more of memory. If you have
less than 4 MB, please be aware that you may experience some
problems.
MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF HYPERCARD
It’s OK to have more than one version of HyperCard on your system.
To make things easy we put HyperCard 2.1 right in the MacFun 2.5
folder. This application is provided solely for the purpose of
running Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5. When copying the course to your
hard drive, make sure you also copy HyperCard 2.1 into the same
folder.

The manual accompanying this CD contains detailed instructions for
How To Begin and go through this course. However, if you run the
course from the CD-ROM drive, be aware you may experience some
problems. FOR A MORE EFFICIENT PROCESS, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU COPY
THE COURSE ONTO YOUR HARD DRIVE, AND RUN IT FROM THERE.
To copy the course onto your hard drive, you will need a minimum of
20 megabytes of available disk space. Double-click on the MacFun
2.5 icon on the CD, and click and drag the MacFun 2.5 folder onto
your hard drive.
Any of the modules contained in this course can be accessed
individually so you can devise your own unique path through the
course. It is recommended that you select the modules you want by
going through the Home stack and selecting the modules from the Main
Menu.
ADDITION OF APPLE FACTS BOOKLET
The most current version of the AppleFacts booklet is included in
your Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5 package to provide you with the
latest Apple products information. The information contained in the
booklet should be considered part of the course.
ADDITION OF MACINTOSH BASICS TUTORIAL
The Macintosh Basics tutorial has been added to the Macintosh
Fundamentals 2.5 CD-ROM. This tutorial will provide the basic
prerequisite skills necessary to begin Macintosh Fundamentals, such
as using the mouse and using menus. This is not a required portion
of the course, but can be used by students who are first-time
Macintosh users and need help getting started.
To use the tutorial on your workstation, simply drag the Macintosh®
Basics folder from the Macintosh Fundamentals 2.5 CD-ROM onto your
hard disk. Open the folder and double-click Macintosh Basics. The
